Douglas Taylor A powerful story told here, VIVA! And personally very relatable for I once had to rely on a walker just to get across the room and a wheelchair for long distances. This surely reminds me how precious my mobility and independence really is. All told, this is a VERY important work you have made here. Thank you for sharing it with us, VIVA! I love the stories you tell with your art, VIVA, and this is another that makes people think. Have relied on one of these for several years that makes it possible for me to go places that had become impossible to reach. Lovely artwork and message. L/fv

VIVA Anderson replied:

Dear Helen, your visit, your!! story, amaze me, that this is your story, too, and...from my heart, I thank you for saying so, b/c, you make me so proud that I've honoured you, and my co-residents here. I DO honour you, all the more for telling me !!! here !!! BRAVO, DEAR HELEN, 🙏.....YOUR affirmation makes all that I 'do' worth while!, :)))))VIVA

Thank you for this image. Arthritis at one time had me in a wheelchair for a year, and it was a real eye opener about the unnecessary and thoughtless barriers that exist in public places for handicapped people. To this day I use a rollator. when I am taking a walk or out shopping. The one facility in my town that has a swimming pool where I could do pool walking to get stronger refuses to put in a lift for people that can't manage the steep, slippery pool steps. l/f

VIVA Anderson replied:

Thank you, Marsha, I do know/see all you say happening here in my confinement for life!!! and am glad you have a walker to get around, b/c being so confined destroys the soul, don't I just know, now........Good Wishes to you and proud of your will to survive!!!!, :))VIVA
