On a warm summer night in Madison, WI, I set out to capture the perfect fine art photograph of the city's skyline reflecting in the calm waters of Lake Monona. The night was clear, the city lights shimmered beautifully, and the Capitol building stood proudly in the distance, creating the ideal scene.
As I set up my camera and tripod, carefully adjusting the settings to capture the delicate balance of light and shadow, I felt a sudden tickle on my arm. A quick swipe revealed my first adversary: a mosquito. Undeterred, I focused on the shot, only to feel another bite, then another. Before long, I realized I was in the midst of a full-scale mosquito invasion.
Determined to get the shot, I swatted and waved, doing a ridiculous dance to fend off the relentless swarm. The buzzing grew louder, and for every mosquito I managed to swat away, three more seemed to take it...
