This past summer my family and I visited some wonderful national parks in Utah, Arizona and Colorado. Zion was one of our stops. On our way out of the Zion National Park we stopped to see the Checkerboard Mesa. This site is easily accessible from the road. No hiking required. Get it there in the early morning on close to the sunset and you will be greeted with amazing colors and textures.
