Description
This intriguing artwork unveils the profound nature of light, shedding light on its enigmatic dual nature. Picture light traveling through two small slits, encountering itself and interfering like waves of water colliding around columns under a bridge. It is a mesmerizing dance of interference, where the patterns captured in this drawing mirror the mesmerizing patterns witnessed in reality.
In the realm of quantum physics, light manifests as both a particle and a wave, offering a captivating mystery. Within the framework of Quantum Information Hypothesis (QIH), where energy traverses a Planck lattice structure, light embarks on a journey through all possible paths, vibrating and resonating within the fractal-like lattice of spacetime. Space-time itself, when decomposed into its smallest Planck units, exhibits the same intricate patterns as the whole, revealing the underlying fractal nature.
The question arises: why does light behave as a particle when observed, and as a wave when left unobserved? The act of observation defines and determines its behavior, blurring the boundary between reality and perception. Light takes on particle-like properties when being observed, as the act of observation itself plays a defining role. Remarkably, in the absence of observation, light assumes its wave-like nature. This delicate interplay of observation and behavior highlights the profound connection between consciousness and the fabric of reality, adding another layer of beauty to the illusion of relativity.
Another captivating perspective is to envision yourself in a car, where light from a distant streetlight streams through the window, creating streaks of light. From your relative point of view, you perceive the streaks coming towards you, while a friend in the passenger seat simultaneously observes the streaks converging towards them. In reality, light traverses all possible pathways, creating a wave that encompasses multiple directions. However, our subjective viewpoints create the illusion of particle-like behavior, as we observe light from specific vantage points. It is when we collectively consider all possible viewpoints that the wave-like nature of light becomes apparent.
So, is light a wave or a particle? Through the lens of QIH, light seamlessly embodies both aspects, contingent upon observation. Its wondrous nature unfolds as a symphony of wave-particle duality, inviting us to explore the quirky elegance and beautiful strangeness of the universe.
